Around 30 recruiters from around the country met yesterday in London to hear Rebecca Stephens, the first British woman to reach the summit of Mount Everest, describe how her experiences have helped her in business.

Stephens said there were seven principles that she learnt from mountain climbing that can be applied to business. These are: courage, gaining skills and experience, inspiring others, commitment to develop others, confidence to make decisions, making it happen and the view beyond the summit.
