REC launches new code of practice

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has announced a new code of practice for the marketing, media and communications sector.

The code, which was created following the efforts of Xchangeteam chief executive Emma Brierley (pictured), has three parts: a code for recruiters, guidance for clients and guidance for candidates.

Tom Hadley, the REC’s director of external affairs, says: “We are continuously striving to raise the standards within the recruitment industry and this is the latest initiative can only work to enhance and promote the work of recruitment professionals in the marketing, media and communications sector who have a genuine desire to achieve the highest standards of performance.”
