Recruiter reports from Softworld

Recruitment software providers unveiled new online application developments at the Softworld HR and Payroll show yesterday.

TeamSpirit Software launched an online vacancy application system to work with its recruitment module. It allows candidates to view the vacancy either on the corporate website or the intranet, complete an application, and attach a CV. It avoids the need for companies to input data manually, saving time and potential re-keying errors.

Select HR, meanwhile, announced the launch of online functionality for recruitment agencies. Rachel Moffat, sales manager, told Recruiter: “We have offered online recruitment for a couple of years, but we have updated the software to allow agencies to post candidate information online.” Clients can choose whether or not to allow agency access to their systems.

Ian Henderson, HR officer, pay and performance at Rotherham Metropolitan Council, told Recruiter that online applications were a vital part of modern recruitment: “It has been a hole on our offering, so we are currently looking for an online recruitment system.”
