A new job board, MillionRecruitmentPixels.com, which aims to sell one million pixels of advertising space to the recruitment industry has been launched.

Entrepreneur Justin Hodnett says he wants to change the way recruiters advertise and is cashing in on the latest internet advertising craze, where pixels are sold for £1 each. Recruiters can use the pixels they buy to display an advertisement or logo and have a link to their own site for a cost available to all.

Hodnett, chief executive of the JustGroup which owns JustFindAJob.com, says: “I was looking for a new and fun way to promote recruitment agencies here in the UK, but needed that something special that no other job board had and this is it.

"Larger recruitment agencies could buy up lots of pixels giving them a more prominent position on the site."

Hodnett believes that over time the pixels will offer good value for money because the homepage will be kept online for at least five years, although the aim is for it to be kept on for longer.
