RECRUITMENT FINANCIALS
Pinnacle Staffing Group, the temporary healthcare recruitment group, has reported a pre-tax loss of £0.2m for the six months ended 30 June 2007, compared with a pre-tax profit of £0.4m in 2006.
The company’s turnover increased to £22.1m in the first six months, compared to £18m in 2006. Its gross profit rose to £4.2m in the period, compared to £3.9m in 2006.
The company reported that demand remains strong and is still exceeding its ability to supply and that a “rigorous” operational improvement action plan will be rolled out in early August.
Margaret Ford, chairman, says: “The company has rolled out a clear operational action plan. By strengthening our management team we now have the resources in place to ensure that the plan is effective and will deliver improved performance. “Business fundamentals continue to be challenging but Pinnacle remains on track to deliver positive earnings and an operating profit before amortisation in the current year.”
