Recruiter gripes

The biggest annoyance for recruiters is irrelevant responses from candidates

Candidates who supply irrelevant responses to job opportunities are the biggest problem facing recruiters, according to a survey by Broadbean Technology.

The next biggest problems facing staff in the recruitment industry are candidates who apply without having permission to work in the UK and a small amount of response to job postings. Although, huge responses to advertisements also featured in the list complied by Broadbean.

The problems are wasting agents' time and causing undue stress, according to the report.

Emma Cuffaro, head of account management at Broadbean, advised recruiters to:
“Make sure adverts are well written and concise to ensure that they get the most relevant Curriculum Vitaes back from job boards."
