Put 2 May 2012 in your diary now for the ’not to be missed’ recruitment event of the year: Recruiter’s Awards for Excellence 2012 will honour the recruitment world’s top performers and most laudable achievements.

The 2011 Awards saw the largest UK and international attendance ever at the sold-out gala event, held at London’s premier awards event venue, the Grosvenor House Hotel, as well as a record number of entries. The 2012 awards celebration will also be held at the Grosvenor House on Park Lane and feature a celebrity host.

And for 2012, as in previous years, potential entrants will see new categories to reflect evolutions in the industry, along with many of the perennially hotly contested categories. Recruiter editor DeeDee Doke explained: “Recruitment is one of the fastest moving sectors in industry, and to reflect industry and practice changes, developments and new facets of how recruitment is done, we review and update our categories each year.”

Doke went on to say: “This year, new categories for our in-house community members include recognition for apprentice and school leaver initiatives, global recruitment strategy and onboarding.

“We’ve also decided that this should be the year to recognise innovation in technology among our technology community, which contributes so much to the sector.

“And a new category on the agency side will recognise the tremendous achievements within agencies’ own marketing departments.”
The Awards site, www.recruiterawards.co.uk, will go live by 23 October. See the 19 October issue for the line-up of blue-chip judges who will adjudicate the 2012 Awards.
