The Recruitment and Employment Confederation's (REC) Inspection team, launched in April, has completed its 100th inspection.

The REC's head of professional standards, Claire Walker, told Recruiter that the main area of concern uncovered by the inspections was documentation — for example, documenting the recruitment process so it met contract regulations. Another was "the checks that agencies are carrying out on workers".

Walker said that the inspection teams expected to complete more than 200 inspections in its first 12 months, covering all regions of the UK.
