New qualifications announced by the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) last week will help recruiters well beyond the confines of the recruitment industry, according to Baroness Prosser.

Speaking at the launch of the Diploma in Recruitment Practice, and the Certificate in Recruitment Practice, Prosser said: “People move about much more than in the past, and these qualifications could be used in different sectors and industries completely. It sets them up to do different things in their lives.”

The certificate starts in September, and modules include managing yourself for success, marketing, and building and sustaining relationships.
The diploma, which starts in November, includes modules on managing finance and managing people.
