The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) last week appointed 14 new members to its board of directors, increasing the total number from six to 20.

The REC says the increase was intended to better represent the diversity of sectors within the recruitment industry, as well as meeting geographical needs.

Appointed were: Sarah Anderson, CBE, MSB International; Susan Cranie, Careplan Specialist Services; Peter Cullimore; Stephen Hill, Hill McGlynn; Tina Mason; Angela Masters, A+A Recruitment; Sandra Robertson, Charterhouse Group International; Graham Smith, TRS Franchising; Neil Smith, Kinetic; Richard Sowerby, Sowerby & Associates; Helen Stokes, Morgan Hunt; Teresa Swann, Swann Personnel; Brian Wilkinson, Vedior; and Ian Wolter, Eden Brown.

Cullimore and Wolter were existing board members seeking re-election.
