Thorn Baker has been awarded Audited status from the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC).

The Nottingham-based group scored highly on all aspects of industry compliance and ethical conduct after undergoing a rigorous independent assessment in all areas of its business.

Thorn Baker director John Robinson says: “We have successfully shown that not only do all our processes across the group comply with industry standards but that we strictly adhere to ethical and moral codes of good practice.

“We are essentially a people business and the way we treat our people is very important.

“The audit has also clearly demonstrated that we have the correct procedures in place to ensure we adhere to regulations regarding, for example, workers’ rights and age discrimination legislation.”

Shelley Dale, the REC’s East Midlands’ regional business delivery executive, presented the award to Robinson.
