Randstad has denied rumours it is interested in buying Hays

The Dow Jones newswire service reports that Dutch recruitment giant Randstad has denied any interest in buying UK recruitment company Hays. Speculation over Randstad interest in the multi-sector UK recruiter arose most recently following Adecco’s overtures to Michael Page last week.

“Randstad is just too busy with Vedior,” Dow Jones quoted a Randstad spokesperson as saying. Randstad acquired the Dutch-Anglo recruitment conglomerate Vedior earlier this year.
