Rail workers could strike for first time in 14 years

Rail workers could take part in the first national strike in 14 years. The Rail, Maritime and Transport union is to ballot its 17,000 members in a dispute over pay and conditions.

Maintenance and signalling employees are to vote next week, with the results expected on Thursday.
