Concerns that NHS PASA (Purchasing & Supply Agency) framework recruiters supplying clerical staff to the NHS are required to meet identical contract criteria as those supplying medical staff (Recruiter, 20 February) have received a sympathetic hearing from PASA.
Tom Hadley, director of external relations at the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, told Recruiter that a meeting of the REC with senior PASA officials on 27 February recognised recruiters' concerns and had discussed inoculation requirements and Criminal Records Bureau checks. He was hopeful of finding a "workable solution".
