Staff defections are the biggest threat facing private banks in Asia, according to a recent survey by PricewaterhouseCoopers, which found that nine out of 10 bankers had been approached by a rival during the past 12 months. "Poaching remains the primary recruitment strategy for private banks," said Justin Ong, a partner at PwC.
