More permanent staff are being recruited in the pharmaceutical sector rather than temps, contrary to findings in this week’s REC Report on Jobs, according to a pharma recruiter.
Farhana Adat, director of Healthpharm Recruitment, told Recruiter that employers in the sector were taking on more permanent staff because they were cheaper. “If they are contract staff they are paying more for them, and then they have to pay the agency as well.”
Adat says she first noticed the trend around three years ago.
