PA requests

Top strange PA requests revealed

The top strange requests made to PAs by their bosses have been revealed.

According to office support recruiters Crone Corkill, the top favourites are:

· Buying clothing for my boss’s girlfriend
· Making coffee but only being allowed to serve it at ‘drinking’ temperature
· Picking my boss’s kids up from school
· Helping with my boss’s kids homework
· Being asked only to wear black as its more professional
· Posing as my gay boss’s wife at a client function
· Replacing my boss’s daughters hamster which died when she was on holiday
· Being asked to place an advert for my replacement when I did not know I was leaving!

Tracy Durrant, managing director at Crone Corkill, said: “Since Crone Corkill opened its doors in 1977, the role of the PA has changed beyond all recognition. While historically it is true to say that they may have once acted as gatekeepers and unofficial concierges, today the role is much more strategic and responsibilities can cover a multitude of different areas - from office management to marketing - from HR to PR.”
