Australia looks to Britain to fill its skills gap
Thousands of British workers could be heading to Australia after a radical easing of visa rules, which will see 102,500 key workers a year let into the country.
Doctors, nurses, teachers, accountants, dentists, carpenters, plumbers, IT managers, engineers, locksmiths, painters and decorators are on Australia’s wanted list.
A representative from the Australian visa bureau told The Mirror: “The government is lacking workers in many professions so is throwing its door open to huge numbers of skilled and experienced British people.”
