Omega Resource Group has become the latest recruiter to be awarded a Gangmasters Licence.

Group director Alan Beresford said: “Anything that will work to prevent disasters such as Morecambe Bay should rapidly become the industry standard. It is, in the grand scheme of things, a very straightforward auditing process that will ultimately benefit everyone involved.”

Providers of labour to the agricultural, horticultural, food packaging and processing industries must have a licence from 1 October in order to operate.
