Bromak, the construction recruiter, has introduced an online timesheet system in an attempt to reduce fraudulent timesheets.
Bolton-based Bromak, the construction recruiter, has introduced an online timesheet system in an attempt to reduce fraudulent timesheets.
The system will issue clients and contractors with their own unique login and usernames, enabling contractors to electronically input their work hours on timesheets. The timesheets will then be sent automatically to the client for approval. After authorisation they are sent to Bromak and the contractors' wages paid.
Bromak director Martyn Makinson says: "Fraud is a problem in every sector but it is prevalent in construction. Contractors are site-based and have to fax across their timesheets, making it easy for contractors to pretend to be the client, or to add on extra hours of work.
"This system should cut down on fraud and it means we won't need to chase timesheets," Makinson adds.
