Oil & gas engineering firm Offshore Group Newcastle (OGN) is seeking manufacturing project management and design professionals to fill 1,000 new roles.

Oil & gas engineering firm Offshore Group Newcastle (OGN) is seeking manufacturing project management and design professionals to fill 1,000 new roles.

OGN has been selected by US-based Apache Corporation to construct a new oil production platform in a deal worth £150m, while the firm says 1,000 jobs will be created over 20 months at OGN Group’s Hadrian Yard site in Newcastle as part of this development in the North Sea.

OGN adds the project requires project management and design professionals, outsourced sub-contract services on-site and outsourced supply chain for off-site manufacture of materials and equipment. Up to 80% of construction materials will be sourced from the UK, worth around £40m, generating additional supply-chain jobs.
