Office support workers boost UK productivity by 35%, increasing UK GDP by £264bn, according to research by recruitment job site H2Office.co.uk.

It found that less than half (45%) of employees surveyed think their boss values them, or shows any appreciation, and 33.5% of workers feel that their colleagues undervalue their contribution.

It found 78% said that having a ‘good boss’ is the second most important factor for achieving job satisfaction after a decent salary, and little more than a third (38.9%) of office support staff are happy and motivated at work.
