Construction recruiters involved in an Office of Fair Trading (OFT) investigation into alleged price-fixing are no closer to finding out the results of the probe.

AndersElite, Eden Brown and Hays are among the companies being investigated but the probe, which is expected to take several months, is still ongoing.

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) is also conducting its own investigation, which is expected to be concluded after the OFT.

Ian Wolter, chief executive of Eden Brown and a former member of the REC's professional standards committee, told Recruiter: "We've not been given a timescale for this but we will assist the OFT as and when we are told to."
