Rene Schuster is to take up the position of UK and Ireland chief executive of Adecco.

He replaces Peter Searle, who will become chief executive of Spring Group at the beginning of October.

Schuster gives up two positions to take up the new role. One was as a non-executive on the Board of Hudson Highland Group. However, his main position was in marketing at UK telecoms giant Vodafone, based in Berkshire.
