Men at work on their flirting
Bad news for all those firms out there with more than 50% male employees on their books. Apparently men may be spending more time seeking out affairs in the office than they do actually working. So says research from the UK’s extra-marital dating site, IllicitEncounters.co.uk (no, we didn’t realise there was such a thing either).
The site (and we quote) ‘which caters for men and women looking to have affairs’, found that 72% of its male members (excuse the turn of phrase) log on to the site from work. Women, on the other hand, prefer to surf for their illicit talent from home, with only 42% logging on in the workplace.
According to an IllicitEncounters site representative, “during work hours, the men come out to play. There are certainly a lot of chances at work for a little sly online flirting, but men really are the culprits when it comes to illicit procrastinating”. And her reasoning for this? “Perhaps this is because men are more easily distracted by the prospect of sex, whereas women are more likely to focus when it comes to tasks.”
However, if you’re a woman, don’t bother looking for love on a Sunday evening, as apparently the site is overrun by female members during this time.
