Jobs4Medical.co.uk has revealed that nursing positions are becoming increasingly in-demand and now make up 40% of its entire medical jobs database.

It says that since January 2007, more than 3,200 nursing jobs have been posted onto its site and almost 9,000 potential candidates have already applied for nursing positions.

Vicky Scott, operations manager at Jobs4Medical.co.uk, says: "The state of the NHS is a highly visible issue in the UK at the moment, and although end of tenure in specific positions goes some way to explain why there are increasing numbers of positions opening up, the numbers of nurses unfortunately losing their jobs has risen significantly.”
