More than six in 10 (61%) of managing directors of UK SMEs are worried about losing talented people from their organisations, according to research from talent and career management consultancy Rig

More than six in 10 (61%) of managing directors of UK SMEs are worried about losing talented people from their organisations, according to research from talent and career management consultancy Right Management.

The research reveals staff churn rate is lowest in Scotland (20%) followed by the North-West (23%), the North-East (24%), the Midlands (25%), and London and the South-East (28%).

Jayne Carrington, MD of talent and career management consultancy Right Management, says: “We hope the government’s review into its support for small business doesn’t lose momentum. It is essential that SMEs thrive for the sake of the UK economy.

“Providing career progression and development opportunities will ensure MDs retain talent and build a committed and engaged team to drive business growth.”
