The UK’s manufacturing sector has seen a surge in employment in Q2, according to British Chambers of Commerce’s latest Economic Survey.

The UK’s manufacturing sector has seen a surge in employment in Q2, according to British Chambers of Commerce’s latest Economic Survey.

The survey shows that employment in manufacturing rose 35 points to +19%. Employment expectations in the sector also increased by 16 points to +14%.

Meanwhile employment in services rose just 1 point to +4% while employment expectations rose 3 points.
