Military personnel going through the UK Defence Academy can now gain nationally-recognised management qualifications through a new partnership with the Chartered Management Institute.  

The alliance means that students on the Advanced Command Staff Course (ACSC) achieve recognition for management and leadership skills through qualifications accepted by civilian and military employers. Jo Causon, director of marketing and corporate affairs for the Institute, says:  "In the current climate, individuals need skills which are relevant to the many different challenges they face.

"The management accreditation that officers gain as part of the ACSC will drive performance for the military, as well as provide opportunities for individuals if they ever decide to pursue an alternative career."
