Making sense of the social talent pool

WorkDigital has developed a new product that is able to aggregate data contained within profiles on social media sites.

WorkDigital has developed a new product that is able to aggregate data contained within profiles on social media sites.

Called thesocialCV.com, it is currently in private beta testing and uses semantic or natural language processing tools and filters to bring the data together, and constantly monitors status updates from more than 30 leading social media sites.

WorkDigital co-founder, William Fischer, told Recruiter that the tool makes it possible to manage and track “the world’s largest global talent pool” in real-time.

“We currently have more than 56m candidate profiles and are adding more than 400,000 every day,” he said, explaining the company worked with more than 100 recruiters to fine-tune the product. “One of the things we’re learning is that integration with the applicant tracking service (ATS) providers would enhance the user experience and several of the top ATS providers have approached us about integration.”

Work Digital is also about to launch its TalentRank algorithm, which works from within thesocialCV.com which also uses semantic techniques to sort, filter and identify the most relevant candidates. Fischer said it will also be licensing this technology to other companies to provide enhanced CV search capabilities.
Alongside thesocialCV.com, WorkDigital’s products include workhound.co.uk, twitjobsearch.com and jobdeck.net.
