Major recruiting drive for Amazon across UK

Online retailer Amazon is to create over 2,000 new permanent jobs in the UK over the next two years, including 600 at a new distribution centre in Hemel Hempstead, which opened yesterday.

Online retailer Amazon is to create over 2,000 new permanent jobs in the UK over the next two years, including 600 at a new distribution centre in Hemel Hempstead, which opened yesterday.
Two further depots are due to be opened in the coming months, and positions include IT, HR and management roles.The firm has also said it will hire around 3,000 temps during the Christmas period.
Prime Minister David Cameron said: "This is great news, not only for those individuals who will find work, but for the UK economy. This shows that the UK has the infrastructure and talent to continue to attract major investments from leading companies such as Amazon."
