Research finds discrepancies are commonplace on financial services job applications
A quarter of financial services job applications had at least one major discrepancy, according to research from pre-employment screening company Powerchex.
It found that the most common discrepancies on application were to do with job titles and duties (12%), employment dates (10%), and county court judgements/ bankruptcy and academic (4%).
The research also found that 37% of applicants had gaps in their employment history.
