Adecco has been appointed as the official recruitment services supplier to London 2012.

Adecco has been appointed as the official recruitment services supplier to London 2012.

The Fortune Global 500 company will be responsible for the recruitment of permanent and temporary staff for the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG). Adecco will also support LOCOG’s staff in preparing for the next stage of their careers following the conclusion of the Games, a LOCOG statement said.

LOCOG’s workforce will number in the thousands in 2012, when the Games occur. Adecco’s track record of recruiting for high profile events includes Sydney 2000, Torino 2006 and the Manchester Commonwealth Games of 2002. Adecco also works with the International Olympic Committee on the Athletes’ Career Programme, which supports Olympic and Paralympic athletes’ transition into work after competition.

London 2012 chairman Sebastian Coe says: “Put simply, the quality of the people we hire will have a direct impact on the success of the Games and having a world-class team will help ensure we deliver a memorable Games.”
