Recruitment firm launches service to capitalise on corporate governance guidelines

Cardiff-based Lodestar has launched a service dedicated to providing non-executive directors.

Lodestar, which specialises in mature business professionals, says the service is in recognition of the increasingly important role of non-executive directors, as dictated by new corporate governance guidelines in the UK.

Lodestar co-sounder Jeffrey Morgan says: ³Non-executive directors are no longer drawn from the old boy network. The search will be cast wider, and will include mature candidates offering solid experience, and younger candidates who can bring a different dimension to the boardroom.² It is also looking to serve the need of small and medium-sized companies to secure board level support without the commitment and cost of full-time appointments.
