Finding talented workers is the second biggest worry for business leaders behind losing customers, reveals the 2011 Lloyd’s Risk Index.

Finding talented workers is the second biggest worry for business leaders behind losing customers, reveals the 2011 Lloyd’s Risk Index.

The 2009 survey showed that lack of available credit was the biggest concern for respondents, with talent and skills shortages not featuring among the top five concerns in this edition.

Lloyd’s chief executive Richard Ward says: “Two years ago when the credit crunch was at its peak, businesses told us they were primarily concerned about the cost and supply of credit.

“Now their worries are even more fundamental with many wondering just what’s happened to their customers, and where can they find the skilled staff they so desperately need. The survey is a snapshot of two years of economic uncertainty.”
