London could face the worst of the recession, according to a new report.

The report, from the Local Government Association (LGA), shows that two in five jobs in London and the South-East could be at risk.

The Metro reports that the LGA recommended that most economic decisions be taken at a local level as a blanket policy would not tackle the recession effectively.
