Good quality leaders are hard to come by, according to Simone Hemingway, HR director at diagnostic imaging services provider Alliance Medical.

Hemingway’s comments came at a panel discussion of networking group the London HR Connection at the London School of Economics yesterday.

Hemingway says: “There is dearth of talent across the globe. There are not that many talented leaders out there. There is a lot of volume and not a lot of quality. Good leaders have a choice and they will not join an organisation that does not have the same values as them.

“We need leaders who do not just want to make money but want to do it in an ethical way. We will struggle as organisations if we cannot attract those people.”
