Neil Smith, managing director of engineering and technical recruiter Kinetic, has been awarded a US marketing scholarship by UK Trade Investment (UKTI).

Smith’s achievement stems from successfully presenting the need for Kinetic Technical (the Oil and Gas division of Kinetic) to develop and market its recruitment solutions in the niche US-based oil and gas industries.

The scholarship will involve an intense five-day management programme at the Kellogg School of Management, in Illinois, as well as a secondment during the second week.

“The knowledge gained from undertaking the scholarship at one of the world’s best business schools, together with the firsthand hand experience of putting newly learnt theories into practice within a real business environment, will undoubtedly assist Kinetic’s strategic progression towards operating in the US market,” says Smith.
