The listed IT recruitment firm, MSB, has appointed its former company secretary, Ian Ketchin, as finance director.

Ketchin had been assisting chief executive Andrew Zielinski with finance matters since October 2003.

Zielinski was formerly finance director but the position had been vacant since his promotion to the top job in late 2002.

The company has returned a profit of £311,000 in the full year ended January 2004, after breaking even the previous year.

Contractor numbers are up by 32% but market conditions are unpredictable. However the company's balance sheet is free of debt and the statement and the company is financially sound, the statement said.
