New laws governing guest worker recruitment in Jordan came into force at the beginning of August. Under the new legislation, recruitment agencies and employers who cancel permits of foreign workers before they expire will not receive approval for future recruitment, Amjad Weshah, recruitment director at Jordan's Labour Ministry, told the Jordan Times.
