Recruitment website Jobsite, the title sponsor of Portsmouth Football Club, is working with the club to offer CV-optimising and career advice services for 18-22-year-olds.

The community initiative, culminating in a chance to do voluntary work on a trip to Africa, is called ‘Beyond Blue’ and aims to improve young people’s employment skills and opportunities.

Those on the course will also gain first aid and child protection qualifications, and an FA Level 1 Football Coaching certificate.

The Beyond Blue project also works alongside local youth volunteer service Community Fusion and volunteering and development charity Coaching For Hope.

To date, 62% of scheme participants have got back into work.

Mike Wall, managing director of Jobsite says: “Working on bespoke projects like Beyond Blue and the Premier League’s Back to Work scheme allows Jobsite to be much more than just a name on the [football] shirt and give something back to the community.”
