Jobsite Jobs app launched on new Windows Phone 7 handset

Jobsite’s Jobs app will be available for free download with today’s launch of the new Windows Phone 7 handset.

The app allows jobseekers to search for jobs from all sectors by job title, location, job type (eg permanent/contract) and date added to the site. Results are sorted by relevance, salary or date. Jobs can be saved to a shortlist to apply later or can be applied for via the phone if the candidate’s CV is stored on Jobsite. Jobs can also be shared to help family or friends that are looking for a role.

The app also contains content from Jobsite’s BeMyInterviewer tool, which helps candidates prepare for interview with interactive video content from bosses and organisations including Duncan Bannatyne, Virgin Atlantic and Sky.

Keith Potts, managing director of Jobsite.co.uk, says: “We’re extremely proud to have been chosen as one of only a few select brands to produce apps for the Windows Phone 7 launch. Featuring alongside great names like Tesco, BBC and National Rail, it’s great that Microsoft recognises both the important role that job hunting plays in people’s lives and the changing ways that people are choosing to search for jobs.”
