Jobsite adds social media links to profiles of candidates

A new tool from Jobsite allows candidates to add links to their Twitter and LinkedIn profiles.

Jobsite chief executive Keith Potts told Recruiter that the social networking buttons will help recruiters gain a better understanding of the person that is applying for the position and help them start to work out which candidate may be a good fit for a role. “For example, if you’re recruiting for a marketing role for Snow and Rock, and you can see from an applicant’s Twitter profile that they’ve just completed the ’Three Peaks Challenge’, then you can see that they’re likely to have a strong affinity with that organisation,” he said.

When a recruiter logs into their account on Jobsite to view applications they will see a Twitter and/or LinkedIn icon next to any candidate that has included these. “Our strategy is centred around making it quicker, easier and less frustrating for people to find new jobs so all of our developments have this in mind,” said Potts. www.jobsite.co.uk
