Job ad mistakes ‘rife’_2

Just over a third have formatting errors

As many as 83% of online job applications contain errors, according to a new survey.

The research, commissioned by recruitment resourcing e-tools company, Absolute Resourcing Control Technologies (ARC), showed that nearly 67% had either grammatical or punctuation errors, while 56% contained typos.

Commenting on the results, Piran Littleton, general manager of ARC, says: “The research revealed that common mistakes are being made and overlooked time and again in vacancy adverts. This reflects badly on the image of the agency and the client.”

Not all the findings were negative. Researchers highlighted that, despite mistakes, about 33% of the adverts were written clearly and concisely.
