Industrial recruiter Javelin has purchased food service jobs specialist North & South.

The purchase, for an undisclosed sum, takes Javelin’s turnover to more than £3.5m and job assignments to over 400 a week.

Javelin Supply Chain is the new brand for the firm’s industrial recruitment consultancy, while Javelin North & South is the new name for its catering, events and hospitality staffing service-specific client work.

Managing director John Patrick says: “Our expansion into catering and food service is a logical next step for Javelin and the acquisition of North & South gives us a direct route into a highly specialised sector.

“There is huge demand for placements in catering and food service: from chefs and bar managers, to waiters and conference & event staff.”
