ScottishAppointments.com, the online recruiter, has entered into a joint venture with IrishJobs.ie, the leading recruitment site in Ireland.

IrishJobs.ie. has acquired a 75% stake in the site, which is currently ranked second in the Scottish online recruitment market.

ScottishAppointments.com is now changing its name to ScottishJobs.com.

IrishJobs.ie will invest approximately £1m over the next year to 18 months.

Maria Mahon, group chief executive of IrishJobs.ie and NIjobs.com, said that the venture was a rational business step. “We have firmly established both IrishJobs.ie and NIjobs.com as the clear number one independently audited sites in their respective markets and look forward to achieving something similar in Scotland,” she said.
