CpL Resources, an Irish recruitment firm listed on the London Stock Exchange, has bought the nurse agency Medical Personnel for an undisclosed sum.

The new acquisition will be integrated into CpL’s existing healthcare brand, Medical Recruitment Specialists.

Anne Heraty, chief executive of CpL, said: “This acquisition is an ideal fit with our overall strategy for growth and diversification. It dovetails with our existing business in the healthcare sector. With the combined resources of the respective companies, we are now even better positioned to offer quality services to our valued clients.”

Medical Recruitment Specialists will operate from offices in Dublin, Limerick, Cork and Galway. The firm will employ over 1,000 nurses and healthcare professionals.

CpL’s last purchase was in 2002, when it bought Ann O’Brien Secretarial, a division of the defunct Marlborough Recruitment.
