Business professionals have revealed their top interviewer clangers.

The list, from PR and communications search and selection consultancy, The Works, includes: 16 stage interviews, interviewers walking out halfway through, double-booked interview rooms, the interviewer eating a cheese roll and even being interviewed for the wrong job. 
 
Sarah Leembruggen, managing partner of the Works says: “It seems that while many organisations are shining examples of best practice, when it comes to conducting job interviews there’s still a worrying amount of unprofessional, outdated, not to mention illegal, techniques and practices around.”
 
“While we certainly don’t believe that the PR industry is better or worse than other market sectors, what respondents have shown is that they’d like the standard ‘job interview’ per se to change for the better.”
