INTERNATIONAL US: Webrecruit touches down in Nashville
Online recruitment firm Webrecruit, part of private equity firm Hamilton Bradshaw’s portfolio, has opened a US office in the Green Hills district of Nashville, Tennessee.
This is according to Hamilton Bradshaw managing director Tristan Ramus, writing on the company’s blog, which notes that the office launches with three staff, but further hires and additional regional offices will follow.
The office is led by new hire Courtney Sapire. A private practice lawyer by training, she entered the technology sector with pcOrder.com, a business-to-business supply chain technology firm, and then online legal information service eLaw.com.
She later founded legal recruiter Sapire Search Group, which merged to form Momentum Legal in 2010. Sapire says: “No one is challenging the traditional recruitment industry in the US, yet employers are certainly weary of paying tens of thousands of dollars to fill positions.”
In his blog, Ramus writes: “In essence, the recruitment landscape is remarkably similar in the US as the UK; main difference being the fact the recruitment market is less crowded.
“As with all of Hamilton Bradshaw’s investments, it is the founders who manage the expansion projects,” he adds, noting that UK and Ireland chief operating officer Jay Cholewinski has “spent much of the past few weeks on location”.
