Financial services recruiter McGregor Boyall has opened a Singapore office as the base for its Asia-Pacific (APAC) operations, which will be staffed by two new hires.

Luke Archer arrives as managing director of the company’s Asia Pacific operations, while Georgie Chong has been appointed country manager for Singapore.

Archer has been in the recruitment industry for 13 years.

Chong has experience in both the Shanghai and Singapore markets, and McGregor Boyall itself has already been active in the region for a number of years.

Managing director Laurie Boyall says: “Unlike many of our competitors, we did not simply want to open an office and then transfer existing UK employees, but preferred to take a more diverse approach which is also in line with the Singapore government’s expectation that organisations should employ locals wherever possible.”
